Sophie’s work investigates language, body and voice, to create intimate and unsettling moments of contemplation.

Their practice is influenced by new media, poetry, textiles, performance, ritual practices, contemporary queer theory and feminism. They have exhibited both locally and internationally, and have participated in artist in residence programs at Somos Gallery in Berlin, Kunstort Eleven Artspace in Börstingen, Germany and Arteles Creative Centre in Haukijäryi, Finland. They recently completed a Master of Fine Art by research at the Victorian College of the Arts.

Sophie lives and works in Naarm, on unceded Wurundjeri land.
